Ok so I said in the headline that we’ve branched out again… and in a way that is true, although it was probably back towards the middle of April that we welcomed on board our new Lead Bookkeeper Lisa Kendall. Lisa has been an absolute godsend to Great Elm, and is not only thorough and methodical in her approach to all our clients work, but she is also the friendliest and bubbliest lady that I have ever met. Here’s a bit more about her in Lisa’s own words!!
I started working for Great Elm in 2016. I am an Affiliate of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), currently working towards full membership. Prior to joining Great Elm I worked as a bookkeeper and also as a Finance Manager for several small businesses and a local charity. I currently handle bookkeeping, management accounts and day to day finance for a number of clients, and enjoy working with the varied range of businesses which use Great Elm’s services.
I have a BA Hons Degree from the University of London in English and Drama, and prior to training as an accountant I worked mainly in theatre, including producing and directing small scale touring productions around the UK.
Since moving with my family from London to Somerset in 2006 I am enjoying both the beautiful countryside and being part of a vibrant local community – getting involved with local theater productions, being a school governor and sometimes finding time to indulge my enthusiasm for baking and gardening.
Lisa – welcome to the team and thank you so much for all you have done in 2016 to get Great Elm Bookkeepers up and noticed, with fabulous testimonials from her clients. Here’s to an even better 2017!!
