⬅⬅⬅Probably the most successful band to come from the Xfactor are pop-star sensations, Little Mix and back last August they teamed up with McDonald’s to do something spectacular which we can learn a thing or two from…
The girl group turned up unannounced to a McDonald’s store in Clapham, London where one of their biggest fans was celebrating her 12th Birthday.
The group surprised the entire restaurant with an impromptu performance of their hit song “hair” whilst stood up on the counters. The live show included smoke machines and strobe lights as well as backing dancers – a real spectacle!
The Birthday girl was certainly surprised with the best present ever – one she definitely, will never forget. She said after : “I’m a massive Little Mix fan, and when the band came out I was really shocked. I was like, is this actually happening? I’m sure my friends were just as shocked as me. That never happens to someone like me. It’s definitely one of the best days ever.”
This story is just one example of many acts conducted by McDonald’s in the last few weeks… They come as a result of McDonald’s most recent campaign #HelloGoodTimes which aims to provide surprise events across the country to customers within their stores and outside in places such as parks and at festivals.
So, my question to you is, what do you do in your business to make you stand out from the crowd? How do you ensure you are memorable and that people are spreading positive stories about you both online and via word of mouth?
If your answer is either nothing or not a lot then what can you do this week to get the ball rolling?
We at Great Elm Bookkeepers recently embarked on a lumpy mail campaign, which certainly stood out from the crowd with the companies that we targeted! It certainly got our name out there and gave an idea of what we offer 👍😁 Get in touch with us and let us know what you have done to ensure you stand out from the crowd!!
