So…. Chocolate. Cake. For. Breakfast. Woohoo!!! am I the only one who is excited about this??
Top food expert Liz Moskow, predicts that chocolate cake could make its way onto our breakfast menus in the next year or so!
New studies highlight that there are significant health benefits of cocoa – which could see the likes of ‘amuse-bouche’ replace those curly kale, tomato juice, honey and overnight oats- style shakes – I can hear all those cheers at this announcement!
And… If this doesn’t already sound too good to be true, eating cake in the mornings could even help us lose weight!
Liz says, “There was a study that recently came out from Syracuse University re-touting the benefits of dark chocolate … another study from Tel Aviv University found that eating a dessert at breakfast supports weight loss.” – My Husband will be happy… he has an amazingly sweet tooth!
Unfortunately though, like with most things, there is one small catch…
Not all chocolate cakes can be munched alongside your morning ‘cuppa… Awww now there’s a shocker!
A gooey, melt in the middle gateau, dripping in fat and dusted with calories is not going to make the cut – experts suggest that low-sugar chocolate cakes are definitely an emerging trend and are the alternative breakfast item that will likely appear on our menus soon!
So keep your eyes open….Yay!
