Across the pond in Kansas, America, a 70 year old man was arrested for robbing $3,000 from a local bank. Turns out he carried out the robbery shortly after telling his wife that he’d ‘rather be in jail than at home’ during an argument!
He walked into the bank, gave the cashier a note saying ‘I have a gun, give me money’. The cashier handed over $2,924 and watched as Ripple casually took a seat in the bank lobby and waited for the police to arrive and told security “I’m the guy you’re looking for”.
After a visit to the court and a short visit to prison he was released. It’s unknown if he returned home to his wife or not…
Ripples’ story got me thinking he must have been really frustrated with his wife and just not known what to do! Many of us business owners find ourselves getting stuck in a situation where we just don’t know what to do next.
I don’t know if I’d go as far as robbing a bank (!), but I’ve my own ways of dealing with stressful situations – whether they’re caused by the other half, members of staff, suppliers or even customers.
What do you do when you’re stressed or frustrated in your business?
